Morag Milton joined the Mary Hanna Lawyers team in 2016. Her areas of legal practice include refugee and humanitarian visas, family visas and citizenship applications. Morag has extensive experience advising and assisting clients who have complex immigration histories and are from non-English speaking backgrounds.
Morag helps people with matters at the primary application stage including responding to adverse information on behalf of clients, through merits review at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and judicial review in the Federal Circuit Court and Federal Court.
Having volunteered for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre Human Rights Law Program since 2015, Morag is passionate about just outcomes for all of her clients.
Morag completed a Bachelor of Science (Biomedical) with First Class Honours in Immunology at Monash University before studying law. Working as a Teaching Associate and Project Officer for Monash University and the Victorian Infection and Immunity Network while completing her law degree, Morag brings a breadth of knowledge and interpersonal skills to her work as a lawyer. She ensures that all clients have a complete understanding of the processes and purpose involved at every stage of the immigration process.
Morag graduated from Monash University with Bachelor of Laws including a semester abroad at Monash Malaysia Campus before completing her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice through Australian National University.
Morag was admitted as a legal practitioner in the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2014.
